First composed in 1892, Matsukita was inspired by a Japanese princess who charmed the Victorian court. Green bergamot, pink pepper and nutmeg lead in; Chinese imperial jasmine and smoky maté form the heart, and oakmoss, amber and musk give this woody chypre its shadowed depth.
